Your privacy is important to SecureAge Technology. We understand the premium you place on the protection of your privacy on the Internet, and we want you to feel as comfortable as possible visiting our Website and using its services. This Privacy Policy will tell you what information we collect, how we protect it and what choices you have about how that information is used.
What personally identifiable information does SecureAge Technology Pte Ltd collect from me?
SecureAge Technology collects information mainly from the user registration process. During the registration process, you will be asked a number of questions pertaining to information such as name, email, gender, and occupation.
Much of this data is essential for the creation of a free, personal digital certificate that in turn acts as your unique Internet Identity (ID). It is this Internet ID that enables you to securely carry out transactions and communications such as email, electronic-business such as Internet banking, and other user-oriented Internet services.
The Party(s) who wants to communicate or transact with you securely will be required to look up your digital certificate. To facilitate this, you could choose to publish your Internet ID in a free public directory service hosted by SecureAge Technology.
In addition to registration information, SecureAge software comes with a unique number which gives an identity to the software installation process. This information is specifically designed to support the user registration process and it is not used for any other purpose.
Although some of our services do collect IP addresses, this is only carried out for both system administration and aggregation purposes.
Unlike others, our services do not make use of cookies.
How does SecureAge Technology Pte Ltd use my information?
The primary goal of SecureAge Technology is to enable, and provide security services for everyone. We collect personal information essentially to help you create a unique digital certificate for securing your Internet communications and transactions. Aside from this, any other information collected from the user only serves to make that user's experience on SecureAge's network of sites more customized.
Other than the public directory of certificate information, SecureAge Technology does not disclose any other information provided by the user to the public, or our business partners, without the sanction of that user.
SecureAge Technology may disclose account information in special cases where we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be violating SecureAge's Conditions of Access or may be causing injury to, or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) SecureAge's rights or property, other SecureAge users, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities.
SecureAge Technology may disclose or access account information when we believe, in good faith, that the law requires it, and for administrative and other purposes that we deem necessary to maintain, service, and improve our products and services.
What are my choices regarding collection, use, and distribution of my information?
SecureAge Technology may, from time to time, send you email regarding our products and services. In addition, if you indicated upon registration that you are interested in receiving offers or information from SecureAge Technology and our partners, we may occasionally send you direct mail about products and services that we feel may be of interest to you.
Only SecureAge Technology (or agents working on behalf of SecureAge Technology and under confidentiality agreements) will send you these direct mailings and only if you indicated that you do not object to these offers. If you do not want to receive such mailings, simply indicate that preference when asked during the registration process.
If at any time a user wishes to have their information deleted from SecureAge Technology's user database, that user may do so by sending a blank email to unsubscribe@secureage.com, signed with his/her SecureAge digital ID. This is to allow SecureAge Technology to authenticate the user.
What else should I know about my privacy?
Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online - for example on message boards, through email, or in chat areas - that information can be collected and used by others. In short, if you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return.
Ultimately, you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords and/or any account information. Please be careful and responsible whenever you are online.
