SecureFile · File-level Encryption
Digital Signing &
Rights Management
Why SecureFile?
Most leaks happen after a file is shared—forwarded to the wrong person, copied into personal drives, or screenshotted. SecureFile keeps you in control outside your organisation by proving authenticity, limiting how recipients can use the file, and reducing impact if it’s copied out.
Limit forwarding and reuse by restricting what recipients can do with the file.

SecureFile:
File Signing and Rights Management
Digitally sign and protect files with rights controls—so only intended recipients can access and use them.
Proof of Authenticity
Digitally sign files so recipients can verify who created them and detect tampering.
Control After Sharing
Encryption happens automatically in the background, while giving you full manual control to choose exactly who can access your files.
Ownership
Restrict copy, print, screen capture, and set expiry—so sensitive files don’t spread beyond intended recipients.
Secure External Sharing
Share files externally using Secure PDF; your recipients get a password-protected document they can open instantly without installing any new tools.
Reduce Leak & Breach Impact
If files are copied out or endpoints are compromised, protected content remains unusable to unauthorised users.
Simple for Users
Protect files in a few clicks—sign, protect, and share without changing daily workflows.
Core Controls in SecureFile
SecureFile offers advanced options to Sign, Encrypt, and DRM protect sensitive files before they are shared.

Recipient can verify who sent it and whether it has been altered.

Allow only authorized recipients to open and read, while still verifying its authenticity.
- Copy Disabled
- Print Disabled
- Screen Sharing Blocked

How SecureFile Works
Alex finalises a sensitive document, workflow.docx, and selects DRM Protect in SecureFile for Ben.
SecureFile automatically:
- Signs the document to verify authenticity
- Encrypts the file using Ben’s public key so only Ben can open it
- Applies DRM controls
SecureFile processes the document and creates a protected file, workflow.sfp, which is safe to share.
The original content is now locked inside the protected file and can no longer be accessed without authorization.
Ben opens workflow.sfp using the SecureFile application.
SecureFile:
- Decrypts the content for Ben
- Verifies the digital signature, confirming the file truly came from Alex
- Allows normal reading of the document
At the same time, all DRM restrictions are enforced copying, printing, and screen capture or sharing are blocked automatically.
If Ben forwards workflow.sfp to Charlie (unauthorised), Charlie cannot open the file.
Without the correct private key, the content remains encrypted and completely inaccessible.
Once the file passes its defined expiry date:
- SecureFile displays an access-expired error message
- The protected file will be deleted from the user’s machine when trigger to open upon expiry date
No further access is possible.
- Alex sends sensitive information with confidence.
- Ben can read it securely but cannot share it.
- Charlie and any unauthorised recipients cannot access the email.
Use cases
SecureFile empowers users to establish absolute non-repudiation and seamlessly enforce digital rights across every transaction.
Share deal documents securely while keeping control after they leave the organisation.
Cryptographic Integrity & Origin Assurance: Eliminate “ghost” edits in contracts. Using SecureFile digital signatures, stakeholders can instantly verify document origins and detect any unauthorized tampering with loan agreements or approvals.
Leakage Control: Neutralise data spills during negotiations. Share sensitive projections while remotely disabling the recipient’s ability to copy, print, or screen-capture your files.
- Time-Bound Access Control: The function of setting hard expiry dates on shared documents; once the disclosure window closes, the files become inaccessible, ensuring no data lingers in a third-party environment.
Empower your teams to share critical insights without losing sight of data.
- Enforceable Post-Delivery Control: Share patient records or student transcripts with SecureFile encryption that stays embedded in the document even when data is stored on external servers.
- Anti-Leak Safeguards: Protect proprietary research and PII (Personally Identifiable Information) from unauthorised distribution. Share critical findings while remotely disabling the recipient’s ability to copy, print, or screenshot sensitive information.
- Temporal Data Protection: SecureFile allows you to set expiry dates to documents, perfect for temporary partnerships with external labs or faculty visits.
Protect IP and customer data when sharing beyond your environment.
- Verify Integrity: Protect your reputation by digitally signing reports and deliverables. Ensure your partners and customers receive authentic, untampered files, significantly reducing the risk of disputes or “ghost” edits.
- Leakage Defense: Restrict the reuse of sensitive files by disabling copying, printing, and screen captures to minimise data leaks through common collaboration channels.
- Frictionless Sharing: Grant external access to protected SecurePDFs with ease. Enjoy high-level encryption and password protection without the overhead of complex IT workflows.
