23-years and growing
2003: Pioneering Data-Centric Security
Identified the need to rethink cybersecurity and developed our first-of-its-kind proactive encryption technology, laying the foundation for data-centric protection.
2004: Trusted by Government
Deployed our security solutions to the Singapore Government, supporting national initiatives and contributing to world-leading data protection standards over the following decade.
2013: ISO 27001 Certification
Achieved ISO/IEC 27001 certification for information security management, underscoring our commitment to protecting internal data and processes.
2014: Launch of SecureAPlus
Redefined traditional antivirus with the launch of SecureAPlus, combining application control, whitelisting, and advanced threat detection for stronger endpoint security.
2016-2018: Proven Anti-Malware Excellence
Awarded “Best in Anti-Malware Test” by AV Lab for three consecutive years, demonstrating consistent leadership in malware detection and prevention.
2017: Expansion into Japan
Established our presence in Japan to support government agencies and strengthen our position in high-security, regulated environments.
2019: Global Expansion & Industry Recognition
Expanded our global footprint with new offices in the United States and United Kingdom to better support customers. Recognised with multiple accolades, including “Cyber Security Vendor of the Year” and “Top 100 Asia: Software”, and achieved top ratings in the Advanced In-the-Wild Malware Test.
2020: AI-Powered Application Control & Compliance Milestone
Introduced AI-powered application control with Automatic Mode in SecureAPlus, enabling smarter threat prevention. Achieved FIPS 140-2 qualification, reinforcing our commitment to cryptographic security standards.
2021-2020: Industry Recognition

How it all began
Our story starts long before SecureAge was founded.
In 1996, our Founder, Dr Ngair Teow Hin, was a Senior Researcher at Kent Ridge Digital Labs in Singapore (now known as I2R), where he developed the world’s first Unicode-based system for multilingual computing—well ahead of its time and adopted by government agencies.
Over the following decade, his work in cybersecurity revealed a critical gap: traditional solutions focused on protecting data at rest, leaving data in transit and in use exposed. Determined to solve this, he set out to rethink security from the ground up.
In 2003, this vision became SecureAge—built on a simple but powerful idea: data should remain protected at all times, in every state, without compromise. This data-centric approach quickly gained recognition, with governments across Southeast Asia trusting SecureAge as their encryption partner, laying the foundation for a global leader in data protection.
